It’s starting to get colder, I can see my breath in the air in the crisp mornings, and that little rush of excitement starts building up as the child in me realizes that the holidays are here!
Happy December 1st! It’s the start of the final month in what has been an insane decade. I won’t really go into it, because oh boy would that be exhausting, but it’s crazy to think that in 30 days we will be kicking off a new decade with more adventure and stories to behold.
Last month I celebrated my birthday, spent it at Disney World because of course I did, and as I celebrated another year on this planet I took time to relax and think about what I wanted the next few years to be. I spent some time working on a cross-stitch project I’ve been trying to finish for years (made a little dent in it so I feel great!) and trying to go back to my creative roots a bit.
That is part of the reason why you are reading this now. I wanted to get back to do something that I enjoy, and while I am definitely not the best writer, I do want to take the time to get better at the written word. So I cleaned off the dust, gave this place a little makeover, and took time to write this here post.
If there is one thing I have realized for myself about the last decade is that I’ve expended so much energy and creativity for others/companies I’ve worked at that I haven’t left any for myself. So I hope you come along on this journey of me discovering my creative voice again and remember to take time to find your own!
