How is everyone doing? I’ve been trying to get into a good balance with work and life after a short leave period from work due to burn out and I’m proud to say I’ve been good sticking with the boundaries I’ve set up.
I spent my time off doing a whole lot of nothing, which is exactly what I needed. But lately I’ve been feeling the itch to create again and I thought I would start with blogging to getting my creative juices flowing and what better way to get myself to commit to doing this regularly than to have something that I do weekly. So welcome to my Bits of Magic weekly roundup!
I’m going to take it back to last month real quick but May 31st was my boy Waffles 1st Birthday and we couldn’t be happier to have this little bundle of love in our life. He’s been such a perfect addition to our family and is such a great companion for our Latte.
Some things I’m excited about:
- Video Games
- Disney Speedstorm – Mario Kart but make it Disney! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll get into the closed beta because I really REALLY want to play it.
- Disney Dreamlight Valley – Animal Crossing + Sims + Disney = my DREAM game. Early Access happens this year (fingers crossed they hit summer) and I am going all in once it does.
- Star Wars Jedi Survivor – I haven’t played Jedi Fallen Order yet but I am still very intrigued by this game and I have Jedi Fallen Order on my list of games to play in June.
- Disney +
- Obi-Wan – Y’all….this show…I am OBSESSED. I wouldn’t have considered myself as being super interested in Star Wars but this show, along with the other Disney+ Star Wars shows, have really gotten me interested in diving deep into the franchise.
- Ms Marvel – First episode released this week and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next episode.
- Sneakerella – AHHH! I LOVED this movie. Such a fresh take on the story of Cinderella and it even had several nods to the Disney animated feature film. If you haven’t watched it yet PLEASE do.
- Hollywood Stargirl – This flew under the radar a bit but it really was great to see Stargirl again and it was really heartwarming and inspiring.
Those are just some of the things I’ve been excited about lately, let me know what has been bringing you a little bit of joy lately in the comments!
